Hey there!

I’m Savannah - also known as “Nonnie”

Where does the name come from? It’s simply the name my nieces and nephews started calling me years ago!

Where are you from?

I was born and raised in Charlotte, North Carolina but have lived Greensboro, Kannapolis, and Salisbury. I moved to Southport back in January 2020 and have loved it here!

Did you go to culinary school?

I actually never went to culinary school! I did get my bachelor’s degree in Entrepreneurship from UNC Greensboro. Who knew that was a thing?!

Not me!

So when did the baking come into play? I worked in 2 bakeries in college - one in Greensboro and one in Salisbury. I learned almost all my baking and decorating in these places.

What did you do before this?

Before this, I worked at State Employees Credit Union as a Senior Financial Services Representative

What’s your favorite dessert?

Ironically, I’m not a sweets person. Leave the cake, I’ll take chips and salsa or fries! I can smash a bag of chips in one sitting.

If I HAD to pick a dessert, I would choose ice cream or a cookie.

The Floral Wall

The floral wall - or the “La Vie en Rose” wall - has a special significance. The phrase means “life in pink” or “life in rose colored glasses”. As fitting as it is for the shop, this was also a song my dad and I always loved - it was our song! We were incredibly close. He passed away suddenly from COVID in 2021. This floral wall is dedicated to him and all his endless love and encouragement.

FREQUENTLY ASKED qUESTIONS

You have questions? We have answers!

What's the best way to place an order?

Email is the best way to place an order! With so many important details, we try to keep everything in one place so we don't miss anything. If you are unable to email, we recommend calling to set up an in-person consultation.

Can I just DM or Facebook message you?

Because these platforms aren’t monitored throughout the day, messages can easily be missed. Email is the best way to place an order; calling is best for any quick questions!

I need a cake! Is it too late to order?

Generally, 2+ weeks notice will secure your date, but we always encourage you to inquire regardless of the timeframe because if we can do it, we will! Unfortunately, we just cannot promise anything without a 2+ week notice.

Are your cakes coated in fondant?

Big NOPE! All of our cakes are 4 layers of cake, 3 layers of icing, and are coated in a silky, smooth Italian Meringue Buttercream. We may occasionally use fondant for decoration, but we never coat the entire cake in fondant.

Do you make wedding cakes?

We do make wedding cakes! Check out our wedding section of the website for more information, or feel free to email us!
